FRED RAHMER COLLECTS TOP HONORS AT WILLIAMS GROVE BANQUET

CAMP HILL, PA -- Fred Rahmer was officially crowned as Williams
Grove Speedway's 2008 Cindy Rowe Auto Glass sprint car champion Friday
night at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center.
Rahmer scored five victories and recorded 20 top-five finishes en
route to the track title which was worth $15,000.
It was the eighth championship for Rahmer at this historic speedway
and the first for his car owners Chad and Jen Clemens.
After winning the opener in March, Rahmer emphatically stated in
victory lane that he would win the championship, and he backed up his
claim with another dominating performance.
Rahmer's crew chief last season, Tim Elwell, was named Mechanic of the Year.

The Sportsmanship Award went to Alan Krimes.
Cody Darrah was named the speedway's Most Improved Driver, and John
Westbrook earned Rookie of the Year honors.
The highlight of the night for the nearly 700 in attendance
occurred when Westbrook, who was seriously injured in a crash at
Williams Grove in September, accepted his award via telephone from a
Philadelphia hospital.

Williams Grove Speedway will open the 2009 racing season on Friday
night, March 20.
